The Artist

Elias is an avant-garde post-impressionist artist who translates themes of the human experience through the use of geometric composition and the orchestration of color and texture.

A graduate of Fine Arts, his early career as a postage stamp designer from 1963 to 1974 formed the foundation of compositional mastery that continues to develop throughout the body of his work. Efficiency in the visual communication of broad and complex themes is a central attribute of his work, engaging people of every race, belief, age, and temperament .

The winner of numerous international competitions commemorating the Olympics, UNICEF, INTERPOL, and other prominent entities, Elias is above all, a communicator of the human experience. Principal themes include the emancipation of women, the essential unity of humankind, spiritual development, the beauty of nature and the diversity of its visual expression.

To the observer, his compositions are the introduction of a welcome conversation inviting the viewer to deeper reflection. This dialogue between visual expression and the perceptions that resonate with the viewer is further enhanced by observation of how the initial intent and evolution of thought translated to mature visual representation.

Elias continues to create and explore new themes in his paintings. His work is displayed in private residences and organizations in Canada, the United States, Australia, Egypt, Ethiopia and Uganda.
